SENIOR EXHIBITION

Client: Senior Exhibition

Overview: My exhibition is about the individualism of the different people around campus by looking at the unique lifestyles that differ from one person to another through a lifestyle themed magazine titled Life in Focus.

Solution: For this project, I decided to find individuals with different, unique lifestyles and document their lives, environments, interests, etc. to create a magazine that compares and celebrates the differences between each.

SUMMER FOODS ILLUSTRATION

Client: Student Project

Challenge: To create a digital illustration of three foods that can be grouped together.

Solution: For this project, I decided to illustrate different types of summer foods. I experimented with different drawing styles, which brought me to the semi-realistic, textural style that I chose for this. As far as the background, I decided to design a picnic blanket like pattern, for a more summer feel to be added.

CHARACTER DESIGN ILLUSTRATION

Client: Student Project

Challenge: To create a digital illustration of a character of our choosing with different dynamic poses and expressive faces.

Solution: For this project, I decided to illustrate a sassy cowgirl I may once had wished to be, but my alter ego – Katie, the cowgirl, is her. By using my knowledge of anatomy from my earlier human drawing classes, I was able to bring this, almost life like human character to life, and with inspiration from video games like Fortnite I was able to come up with some fun, dynamic poses.

QUEBEC TRAVEL FLYER

Client: Student Project

Challenge: To create a travel flyer for Quebec using layout design.

Solution: For this project, I decided to include intentional typography decisions to draw the eye through the flyer as well as the added imagery for the eye catching attractions.

CHEETAH ZOO FLYER

Client: Student Project

Challenge: To create a digital illustrated zoo flyer designed towards children.

Solution: For this, I wanted the animal and the information to look realistic but also friendly enough for children to feel comfortable enough to want to engage with the knowledge given.

PERSONAL PAINTING

Client: Student Project

Challenge: To create a digital painting about ourself.

Solution: For this project, I was thinking about my zodiac sign; cancer. I included a crab and a moon, and then tied in a some flowers (cancers are a rose.)

EMOTION COLLEGE

Client: Student Project

Challenge: To create a college from found objects about an emotion.

Solution: For this project, I chose the emotion fear, but took a step futher – Metathesiophobia, fear of change, but through the perspective of a woman living in the 21st century.
